Tao Yunpeng Attends Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2024 and Visits Datang Subsidiaries in Hainan
Tao Yunpeng, CFO of China Datang, attended the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2024 in south China's Hainan Province, and made an inspection tour to subsidiaries of Datang Hainan Energy Development Co., Ltd. on March 27 and March 28.
The BFA annual conference this year was themed "Asia and the World: Common Challenges, Shared Responsibilities." Tao took part in the opening ceremony and dialogues between leaders and Chinese and foreign business representatives, as well as other activities of the forum. He exchanged views with participants from various countries on cooperation and development in Asia, offering China Datang's suggestions for green development.
On March 27, Tao inspected the Heshan photovoltaic (PV) power station and Datang Wanning natural gas power company. During the inspection, he visited the greenhouses at the Heshan power station, which features the integration of farming and solar PV power generation, and the production site and safety monitoring center of Datang Wanning natural gas power company.
After gaining a thorough understanding of the operations and development of the company, Tao gave full recognition to relevant teams for their achievements in work. He encouraged the teams to intensify efforts to promote the successful model of the Heshan farming-light integrated PV power station project so as to expand the achievements in rural revitalization, as well as the importance of building smart power plants in a bid to develop new quality productive forces with technological innovation.
Tao also visited an offshore wind power industrial park under construction in Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Danzhou city, where he learned the construction progress and challenges facing the industrial park through in-depth exchanges with relevant personnel from Datang Hainan Energy Development Co., Ltd., and Dongfang Electric Wind Power Co., Ltd..
Tao emphasized the importance of fully leveraging regional resources, technological strengths, and industrial chain advantages to build a high-end zero-carbon demonstration industrial park; accelerating the construction of the industrial park to ensure it will be put into operation on schedule and meet the supply demands of offshore wind power projects; making full use of the geographical advantages of Yangpu Port to increase their presence in Southeast Asian markets and increase the profitability of the industrial park; and speeding up the introduction and implementation of wind turbine-related industries so as to make greater contributions to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
During the visits, Tao held talks with Bater, Executive Vice Governor of Hainan Province, as well as Zou Guang, Secretary of Communist Party of China Danzhou Municipal Committee, conducting in-depth exchanges of views on deepening clean energy cooperation with various parties in Hainan.
Other executives, including executives from relevant departments of China Datang and Datang Hainan Energy Development Co., Ltd., also participated in the aforementioned activities.
