Peng Yong Holds Talks with Electricity Experts from Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources
Peng Yong, Vice President of China Datang, met with a delegation of electricity experts from Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources at the headquarters of China Datang on Nov. 1. The two sides engaged in friendly discussions on topics including the development of clean energy and low-carbon technologies.
Peng warmly welcomed the visiting experts and shared information about China Datang's development achievements. He pointed out that China Datang and Indonesia enjoy a solid foundation for cooperation and have established sound cooperative relations, which is a good example of international cooperation under the BRI framework.
As a large state-owned energy enterprise, China Datang actively promotes green and low-carbon transformation and accelerates the development of its international business, striving to become a world-class energy supplier, Peng said.
Indonesia has abundant resources and broad prospects for development, he noted, stressing that China Datang is ready to strengthen cooperation with Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in areas including the planning and development of new energy projects, so as to jointly promote the transition of both countries' energy sectors to clean and low-carbon.
The Indonesian expert team gave an overview of Indonesia's power industry, and expressed gratitude to China Datang for its contributions to Indonesia’s economic and social development in recent years.
China Datang has extraordinary strength, outstanding technologies, and rich experience in environmental remediation and clean energy development that is worth learning from, said the experts.
They expressed hope that China Datang would leverage its strengths to actively participate in energy development in Indonesia by engaging in power generation projects using renewable energy sources like wind, solar, and biomass, as well as multi-energy complementary projects, in a bid to achieve win-win results for both sides.
Personnel of relevant departments of China Datang also participated in the talks.
